Students, I have had such a wonderful school year with you. We learned so much and you should be proud of all that you have accomplished. You have worked hard to achieve that progress, and we have shared so many memories having fun and learning together. Your all have made teaching the greatest job in the world and I will cherish all we have shared together for a very long time. You have given our class community many opportunities to smile, to have a helping hand, to give compliment, care, and concern every day. Please know that you can always come back to visit and say hello next year. I can't wait to hear about your continued successes in your endeavors and adventures in the future. Remember to always read - it is a pathway for us to always continue to learn and explore - to always share - it has the power for us to learn new perspectives - and to always continue learning - it unlocks more opportunities than we could ever fathom. All the best, Ms. Downey The difference between us and them, between you and success, is not that you never fail, but it's how you recover from those failures - is that you keep getting up time and time again. You figure out what you did wrong, and then you make it right. ..um that's not actually fine. But it's AP EXAM WEEK!This is it! The week we've waited for! You're so close! Be accountable and present and active in your review! Remember that there are a TON of resources available to you on Schoology to review with if you need. it. There are also afternoon reviews all week, Monday to Wednesday! See the schedule below. Here's what our week is going to look like...Monday AND Tuesday: Card Sort Days! The process of card sorts and flash cards is called retrieval practice - this helps you "retrieve" information faster with the main concepts/vocabulary when needed.
Wednesday: Today is a choice review day with either Kahoot! or Quizlet Live. Be sure to have your computers that day. Thursday: YOUR AP EXAM IS TODAY! Report to your testing location by 7:30 AM! You are more than welcome to leave your things in my classroom for the day while you test. Remember that you should NOT bring your phone to the testing location - there is no guarantee you'd get it back. Friday: Today we are going to begin our discussion of our last major grade of the Marking Period, the Modern Art and Architecture Project. Ugh - I'm a bit behind as is this post. But thankfully, we have EOC week to pad out some time for us.
Let's lay out what our Thursday and Friday will look like:
We are ONE WEEK! away from our AP Exam. Make sure you are staying accountable and using your time at home to make the most any studying.
