Here's what we've got coming up this week:Monday: Students will look at the opposite use of Nationalism between 1750-1900 - not to cause revolution, but to unify peoples of common culture and traditions.
Tuesday: Today is our Quiz over the Enlightenment and Revolutions. Make sure you are prepared! After the quiz, students will begin a digital assignment reviewing the origins of the Industrial Revolution in Europe and England.
Wednesday: To expose students to causes/effects/change the Industrial Revolution brought about in Europe and the Western world, they will participate in a Gallery Walk activity.
Thursday: After a short lecture about the spread of industry across the globe and its impact, students will use a Schoology assignment to learn about specific technological innovations and inventions of the Industrial Revolution and their impact.
Friday: The leadership of industry between nation-states of the period varied greatly between them - some were government-led versus individually-led by capitalists. We will analyze the differences between the impact of that leadership by reviewing the experiences of nations like Russia, Japan, and the Ottoman Empire.

Here's what's coming up this week:Monday - We have today off. HOORAY!
Tuesday - In class, we will review what the definition of a Revolution "is" and look at how it's stages can be studied. Then, students will use the American Revolution and its events as a model to apply those stages and determine how "successful" it really was.
Wednesday - Today we will examine the causes and effects of the French Revolution in a lecture. After the lecture, students will use manipulative tasks in Google Slides to show their understanding and compare the French Revolution to the American.
Thursday - In class, students will continue to examine the ramifications of the French Revolution by studying the impact of the French Emperor Napoleon, and how his rule over the continent changed the European landscape.
Friday - In lecture, students will determine the causes and effects of the last two Atlantic Revolutions - the Haitian Revolution and the Latin American Revolutions.
Here's what we've got coming up this week:Monday: Today we are going to spend our class period finishing up prepping for our DBQ tomorrow. In the last 15 minutes of class, students will have their "Reading Period" - 15 minutes to make notes and read the documents for their essay tomorrow.
Tuesday: We're writing today! You'll get your documents back with lined paper and the rubric. You'll have the entire class period to write.
Wednesday: In order to evaluate our writing, we are going to practice scoring with AP-Chosen samples. By the end of the period, students should be able to evaluate what areas of their writing for the DBQ still needs improvement.
Thursday: We will start our new unit today - Unit 5: Revolutions (1750 - 1900) - with a short lecture and a gallery walk activity.
Friday: In order to apply our understanding of Enlightenment thinkers/thought, we'll compete in a 'March Madness' - style Bracket Assessment of the thinkers and their ideas.
