Now let's look at what's going on this week:
Monday: You don't have be at school today - WHOOP!
Tuesday: Today we are going to start class with the (small) debate on Ming/Qing China we didn't get to on Friday. Please make sure you have gone through the Yang Lien Reading you got in Schoology on Friday. It provides some good evidence you might be able to use. After the debate, we will start our lecture on Russia.
Wednesday: We will finish our lecture on the Rise of Russia and then we will begin our Summit Simulation. Each group of students will represent one of the different states/civilizations of the Early Modern era. They will be asked to share their opinions on certain issues like policies used to rule, power of monarchs, and the population they control. Using the knowledge they've learned, each group has to complete this set of questions before the end of the period.
Thursday: TODAY IS THE DEADLINE FOR AP EXAM REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT IS COMPLETED. I am away from campus today (Yay Wisdom Teeth...) and you will be spending the period working individually on a WebQuest over the build up and Westernization of Russia. This is an INDIVIDUAL activity and something you work on alone. It is due by the end of the period - use complete sentences!
Friday: I am away from campus today. Today you have a Quiz over Ming/Qing China and Russia. You will be taking it in Lockdown Browser in Schoology and SHOULD NOT CHEAT. If I find out something like this has occurred, I will follow through on disciplinary procedures when I return. It will be set to a 15-minute time limit and must be completed at the beginning of class. After the Quiz, you will have two readings that discuss perspectives of Westernization (one from Russia, one from Japan). Complete the accompanying questions for each in the Assignment and turn it in before the end of the period. This assignment is individual as well and you should be working on your own.

We also will be using our Schoology Conference tool to meet this evening if you have any questions. See the schedule below!
