Time to start getting in gear for your Final Exams!If you have not seen it yet, the schedule for Final Exams at KOHS next week is below. Keep in mind what final you have on what day and create a study schedule for yourself.
Here's what we're doing this week:Monday: Today we'll be finishing our HyperDoc on the Columbian Exchange, due at 11:59 PM tonight. Read all instructions, they are very clear about what you should be doing! Homework: Complete your HyperDoc and Learning Product and submit tonight! Tuesday: Today we are going to define and describe the journeys of various world travelers of the period, because Columbus is not the only one. Afterwards, students are going to get to create digital tshirts and posters to represent a choice Traveler. Wednesday: Quiz today over what we've covered in Period 4 (Exploration, Columbian Exchange, Travelers) - then we will finish our Travelers Tour products. Thursday and Friday: Students will be able to review by working through a Playlist of activities and review material curated from topics and content covered from the fall. Unless otherwise noted, homework this week is to study for your finals and work on your Final Exam Review. All missing or late work is due by Wednesday, December 12th. Any work turned in after this day will not be accepted.It's officially December!We are very close to the end of the first semester and that means - FINAL EXAMS. The Finals Schedule for the week of December 17 to 20 is posted below for you.
Here's what you can expect coming up this week:Monday: In class, students will have the opportunity to complete their Retest for the Post-Classical Era. All reteach assignments must be completed beforehand, though, or the student will be scheduled for Panther Den. Others will begin work on Schoology activities to analyze Feudalism as it occurred in Japan and Europe.
HW: Students will be watching a Crash Course video on "Japan and the Heian Period" posted in Schoology. Tuesday: All students will be working on and finishing Schoology activities to analyze Feudalism as it occurred in Japan and Europe. These activities include document analysis practice and short-answer writing practice. HW: Students will be reading from Chapter 12 "Civilizations of the 15th Century: The Americas." Use the digital textbook in Schoology. Wednesday: Today students will be examining the first concept of Period 4 (The Early Modern Era) which is the Globalization of Exchanges. This starts with the Age of Exploration. Students will work together to analyze the causes and effects of this trend across the world. HW: Students will be reading from Chapter 12 "Webs of Connection." Use the digital textbook in Schoology. Thursday: In class, we will examine the state of the Americas Pre-Discovery and their characteristics. HW: Students will be reading from Chapter 13 "European Empires in the Americas." Friday: Students will explore content of the Columbian Exchange using digital tools like a HyperDoc and Nearpod Field Trips. Students will examine the major participants, exchanges and effects of the Columbian Exchange. HW: Students will be reading from Chapter 13 "Comparing Colonial Societies in the Americas." |
