Okay, but before we can celebrate...One more time! Here's a list of resources you can use to study for your final exam.
Concerning Grades...Some of you are in a position where grades are worrying you. This may be the result of missing assignments, incomplete retests or rewrites. You are able to do this work and turn it in but I must have it by 8 AM on Thursday. I will not accept any work after that point.
Of course you can conquer the exam!A few quick reminders before we discuss this week and upcoming prep for finals:
Here's what is coming up this week:Monday - After about half the class period, students will turn in and share their Traveler's Tours Creations - both t shirt and poster! Students should be able to describe where their traveler(s) went, what important things/ideas/people they encountered, and why they chose to design the t shirt/poster specifically. Tuesday - We are going to begin working on a series of Snapshot charts to help us define the major time periods we've studied this semester - Foundations, Classical and Post Classical. Students will complete small PERSIAN Charts for various civilizations/empires/regions of the world to better understand what the make-up of it was historically. Wednesday - Today we are going to continue going through the Snapshot charts and will get some time to review various areas students find they struggled with. This should help students have a better understanding of the overall view of history during each period. Thursday - In order to review for our exam, today students will play Quizlet Live in class to practice with academic and historical vocabulary that is important to our time periods, as well as for the final. All students need to have their laptop ready to use on Thursday in class, charged! Friday - Final exam review will continue after our dates quiz where students will spend the period working on some practice content questions by playing Kahoot. All students need to have their laptops ready to use on Friday in class, charged! If you need some resources for studying, check out this list:
It's Test Week!On Tuesday is our Unit test over Period 3, the Post-Classical Era. Below are some resources you can use to prepare!
Let's take a look at this week:MONDAY: We will spend our class period participating in one of the following review games: Kahoot or Quizlet Live. Afterwards, a discussion of resources you can use to study will be discussed and any other questions will be answered.
THURSDAY: Although European exploration is the more well-known global travel period, it is in the end of the Post-Classical era around the 15th century that we meet some of our first world travelers. Students will research one of these world travelers and create a "Tour T-Shirt and Poster" for their journey, almost like a concert tour shirt and poster. They will have class time on Thursday AND Friday to complete the assignment.
