First Test - this week!
That's right guys. Our first test is this week on Thursday, October 5th. The Test Review has already been given to you via Schoology (this past weekend) AND you received the hard copy in class today. To be sure we are covering our bases, you can find the file below.
Tutoring for the exam will be offered on Wednesday after school or Thursday before school.
Now that overall business is taken care of, let's break down this week:
Homework: Tonight, you'll be reading from Chapter 6, the sections on "Civilizations of Mesoamerica" and the "Andes". These readings WON'T be asked about on your test, but are important for later understanding trade that occurs in the Americas, which is a big subject in our next unit.
Tuesday: We'll finish up our document analysis activity on Indian Women and make sure to turn it in to Schoology's assignment dropbox. You should have your own Microsoft Word or Google Doc to submit. Homework: Spend time tonight working on your test review. It is above, or on Schoology, AND was passed out to you in hard copy. Wednesday: Today is solely for test review. Students will have a choice on what type of Review Game they would like to play in class. Homework: STUDY STUDY STUDY and work on that test review! See some playlists from Youtube below that cover separate topics that might pop up on your exam. Thursday: TEST DAY! Students will have all period to complete this exam individually. Homework: NONE! Take a night off! Friday: Today we will go over the test, grades and questions alike, and then spend the rest of period making sure students have a reteach/retest opportunity. If a student still does not meet standard after Round 1 of reteach/retest, I will pull them next week for Panther Den to make sure this gets done before the marking period ends. Homework: This weekend, students will finish their reading of Chapter 6 with the section of "Civilizations in Africa".
