Well this WAS supposed to post yesterday morning but here we go on a Tuesday...Here's what we're working on this week:Monday: In a short lecture/discussion, students will review the impact of the Industrial Revolution on the societies in which it occurred. After, students will begin a document/source analysis of these same social changes for more in-depth study.
Tuesday: Students will finish their source analysis of Industrial Social Change in class. If not finished, it should be brought completed to class on Wednesday.
Wednesday: Today students will examine how non-industrial nations/empires had to respond to Western pressures as a result of industrialization. This will mainly include an examination of the Ottoman Empire and China in the period 1750-1900.
Thursday: Other responses to industrialization included alternate "visions" for how society should operate. Students will organize and analyze the ideas of Capitalism, Socialism and Communism in order to compare them.
Friday: In class students will work through their Unit 5 Check for Understanding activity. Based on their performance, students will be directed to videos and Quizizz practices for review on standards/objectives they identified as needing growth.
