Remember that Picture Day will be during your Social Studies class (with me!) on Tuesday, September 18th.You received the order form AND reference flyer for online ordering in class. If you misplaced them, I have extra copies! Let's preview the week:Monday: Now that we have finished our Empire Projects and Presentations, let's look at our empires ONE MORE TIME in detail. You'll perform an "Autopsy" of an Empire that you feel you need to spend some more time with. This assignment is in your OneNote digital notebook and should be finished by the time we end class on Tuesday.
Tuesday: Today is Picture Day! When we've finished taking our awesome photos, we'll come back upstairs and finish our "Autopsy" assignment. We also will take a couple of minutes to make sure everyone knows how to access the Digital Textbook if needed.
Wednesday: Today's lesson will be all about the fall of empires. We've looked a lot at their rise and specific features, but let's talk about why we aren't all Romans. You'll work in small groups to create a Public Service Announcement against one specific cause of falling empires. Check out the images below for some early inspo.
Thursday: Today we're going to Quiz over our learning to start class. Don't forget that even Period 1 is fair game because of its foundational significance for Period 2. Things you can study: Charts, Crash Course, Readings, Khan Academy, Quizlet for vocabulary, Kahoot for quick review.
Friday: Today we're going to spend the period starting to prepare for our first major grade essay. We'll be working on the AP Style Long Essay Question or LEQ. Today will mainly about your prompt and what you'll need to include in the essay structure.
